APMSC was started in the year 1977. Mr. Atma Jayaram IPS, DGP of police A.P State, was our first president and Mr.Madhu Kotak was secretary. The Club was doing Gymkhana and TSD Rallies till 1982, when came the “Charminar Challenge” concept.

There was no looking back; we were organizing rallies which took us to Maharashtra Karnataka and of course AP. We soon achieved the status of the best rally in the country . The president then was Mr. Ali Mohd. and our able secretary was Ms. Dinaz Viccajee.

Our teams participated all over the country .The notable teams were Kiran Mody  and team and the Pestonjee Viccajee team .

The next president was Mr. Pestonjee and Dinaz was the secretary. Latest Mr. Vinay Asar took over and we ran over 300 events till 2004 and then there was a big lull due to various reasons and the club restarted activities during 2008 with Dr. I Venkat Rao as the President, and we have done all activities kind courtesy GMR at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, Hyderabad.

We have successfully introduced drag racing to A.P and successfully done two meets and going into the third.
